What is it? Hand lotion.
Manufacturer: Soap & Glory Cosmetics Co., London (www.soapandglorycosmetics.com).
Price range: approximately $10 AUD
Where can I buy it? Kit Cosmetics (www.kitcosmetics.com.au).
Hand Food is one of my favourite hand lotions/creams. For approximately $10 you get a generous 125ml, and it lasts quite a while. It has a wonderful frangrance (I’d describe it as a combination of musk and raspberry) and makes one’s hands wonderfully soft.
Its key ingredients include shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow (not sure how they fit that in there!). I don’t have sensitive skin on my hands but, due to the strength of the fragrance, I would recommend a patch test before buying for those who have delicate skin.
Beautiful rating: quality 5/5, value 4/5 (as there are cheaper creams out there!)
loving the blog!
i would be very interested in any review of hand lotion – it’s one of my little ‘everyday indulgences’, so i’m always on the lookout for good hand creams.
i’m wondering if you could make any suggestions re hand creams that are more subtly fraganced – i find that some of them are so overpowering that i can’t sneakily use them when i’m out and about!
Hi Mel I’m a big fan of hand lotions/creams too. If you want something with a more subtle fragrance I’d try one of the lotions from the Vaseline range. There’s one in a pink tube which I’ve previously used and found to be good with not much fragrance at all!
